I had to work the twenty-fourth. Since I work for a corporate company, a Utah holiday is no big deal. And surprisingly, work was busy! I got off work a little late, like always, and I had to rush home to hurry and change so we could go over to my parent's best friends' sisters house for a BBQ.

My parent's best friends' are named Joe and Lori. They are husband and wife. They live in Molokai, Hawaii. They're the coolest people, and their culture is so fun... Especially their food!

My parents have been best friends with Joe and Lori since high school. It's crazy how long they've known each other. One thing I must say I love about Hawaiian's is they are very lovey-dovey. LOTS of hugs and kisses! Each time one of their family members would come home, they would greet us with a hug and a kiss on the check.

The coolest thing... Kathy had chickens at her house! They have them as pets. They actually keep them for their eggs so they can save money, smart. Hawaiian's surprisingly eat a lot of eggs. Anyways, as all the little kids were playing hide and go seek, Maddy ran into a fence with a pole. She got three big owies. Poor thing! Serenitee walked into the chicken coup and scratched up her leg, but nobody noticed it because she didn't cry like Maddy did. She just kept being a three year-old and we noticed it before she even did.
